The cost of a funeral in Sydney depends on three things: cremation or burial, whether there is a service, and the extras you choose. With Harmony Funerals, a cremation with no service starts from $3,650 and a chapel funeral from $6,195.

Burial or cremation
A cremation includes the crematorium fee, the Medical Referee’s cremation permit ($110) and the NSW Government levy ($47.30). In our cremation package these are included at our private crematorium.
A burial adds cemetery fees: the grave (or reopening a family grave) and the interment. Cemetery fees depend on the cemetery, the grave and whether a burial right already exists, so we add them to your quote in writing once the cemetery is chosen.
