Funeral director in Kirkham

Explorer John Oxley was granted 600 acres here in 1810 and named it Kirkham after his Yorkshire birthplace. Around 1888 John Horbury Hunt designed a house for politician James White on the site of Oxley's old mill, and in 1900 a new owner renamed it Camelot after Tennyson's poem. Camelot is heritage listed and appeared as Ash Park in the TV series A Place to Call Home. Much of Kirkham is low lying, flood prone land.
